At CysticLife, we’re always approached by companies that want to “partner” with us in order to bolster their own product or market their own services. Althea Health was the first company to ask us a simple question, “What can we do to strengthen your community?”.

 

To date, we have initiated several projects in partnership with Althea including a crowdfunding campaign, collaboration with researchers at the Mayo Clinic and a patient engagement project funded by PCORI.

Conducting our crowdfunding campaign and working with the team from Althea Health has been a great experience. The heavy lifting was done by Althea, they profiled our patients, created videos for social media and ran a successful Facebook campaign to raise awareness.

 

The best part was that we did not have to pay anything upfront and their fee to conduct the campaign was lower than other companies. I highly recommend Althea to other rare disease foundations to help them raise awareness and funding.
